Last week for our Photography module, we each had to organise our own Fashion Shoot. The dress I chose for it was the ‘Jellyfish Dress’. The
dress was designed by Li hua
a second year Fashion Design student of Limerick College of Further Education. The dress design was inspired by fluorescent jellyfish. The full-length
continuous loop knit detail interprets the floating nature of the jellyfish. It
is also embellished by hand-woven sleeves and embroidered panelling. The circle crochet piece on the arm represents the
shape of the jellyfish while the back of the dress has loose string type pieces
hanging off and these represent the tentacles.
